Great and very catchy game with varied graphics and very good playability. Certainly one of the best conversions on the NES in recent years. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 00:49:05. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

That was really fun! I especially liked the Haunted Tower, the last puzzle was really satisfying to figure out, and I like seeing new programs for old systems. I would love to see the names of all the baddies in the credits sequence a la Mario 2.  Good Job!

A cool game, fantastic retro music, great controls, the only thing lacking......was my skill to do puzzles properly haha! Got in my own way a few times. LOVED the game and left a follow, keep up the amazing work!

Well... I simply loved it. I played the C64 version back in 2020-2021. So when I saw a NES version, I don't think twice and grabbed the game.

Works flawlessly in Nestopia. Only one that snapshots will work OK so that I can play the game level by level and not losing my progression.

Using Nestopia emulator, I recorded the 5 first levels, getting shot down by laser on level 6 :(

Fantastic game!!! I’ll donate for this and I’d gladly donate more for a vertical TATE mode version for play on a 3:4 fixed vertical arcade cabinet!

I love that there are still people who dedicate time of their life creating these wonders for Nes and Famicom, the wonderful game, entertaining and very well implemented, both in graphics and mechanics, you have to analyze the movements well before executing them, so as not to die trying 😅, I also loved that they used the MMC3 mapper, so I suggest that they extend the ROM to 768KB, so they can incorporate more levels with new challenges, I would also like them to implement more options, such as a death counter, transition between levels with animations, save the level by implementing battery for those Flashcart that have it, a time counter, to know how long it took to finish a challenge, these are just some suggestions, but in general the game is wonderful, it took me two hours and forty minutes to finish it, now it's my seven-year-old daughter's turn to finish it 😅, I leave links in which I show both videos, the credits of when I finished it and the other is of my daughter playing, from CUBA my  thanks to all the people who in one way or another helped to create this wonder, thank you very much.

I discovered old towers with the zx spectrum version (which is not available on itch.io 😏)

And I enjoy playing it again on every platform. It's really great work! It's fun and it's fast.

Maybe one day an Amstrad CPC version will see the light of day 😇

Amazing game! I love how you animate background tiles by flipping pattern tables. Although I encountered a bug, I think. I am using FCEUX emulator and I left game unattended to make some coffee and when I came back to it after some time all background was haywire like static on a bad TV. I tried to reproduce it, but on first four levels it did not happened, but in level 5 of Sunshine Tower (where cannons first appear) if you leave game for 15 or so minutes untouched it goes bad.

Oh, thanks! It really help to find a rare bug, just upload v1.1 Now it should be more stable!

Sweeeeeet!

Update: Almost finished with it already! It's really good. Not complaints at all with the gameplay.

If I had one niptick it would be that I wish there was some kind of transition when you go to the next tower. Like a cutscene or something. Maybe showing the two brothers flying to the next one. Don't quite like how it just instantly jumps.

Glad to see a NES port of Old Towers! The version was also really fun to play through.

Is there any chance that a sort of world select could be added? I'd love to add achievements via RetroAchievements and feature challenges for each world. It would be a lot more reasonable if the player were able to choose their starting point. I feel this could be desired by non-achievement players as well!

I like that idea!
